I was concerened about the same thing, was it going to be good enough. I can tell you I'm running it to a sixty inch TV and it works perfect. Resolution doesnt seem to be an issue at all. I would purchase it again. Arrived quick too.

It was just the converter when I got it - I supplied my own cable.

You CANNOT with this device. There is zero upscaling with this device. It's false advertising. There is no button to push to give u anything more than what the native resolution for the wii uses. I would not recommend this device to anyone.

If the receiver has an HDMI input for components then it should be fine. I have mine plugged in directly to my TV.

Mine is working fine on standard wii. I bet it will work on mini. If not just return it.

Plugged it in and away it went - no configuration or problems at all! I echo another user's experience in that the main menu sounds a little distorted, but games are just fine. One odd thing: My particular unit is lacking the little hole to switch resolutions. From what I hear, that caused more problems than it solved though, so I'm not too put out.

I wanted my Wii to have an HDMI connection for my new tv and that is exactly what I got. The picture is awesome and the setup too easy. All it took was to plug it in the back of the Wii and the HDMI cable into it. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking to make the Wii HDMI compatible.

When I first hooked it up all I got was sound and no video. I left the Wii on and unplugged the unit and plugged it back in and it has worked fine ever since. Quality is the same as far as we can tell on our 40" LCD TV. We have the signal routed through a Onko reciver with no problems.

works perfect got it on time so glad I ordered from these guys the hdmi converter makes the games look so much better then the nintendo brand component cables i was using the only bad thing about the product is that it sticks out the back of the wii about 2 inches and there is a very light blue light that wont shut off even with the wii off but its nothing to big. Over all i recommend the product and store is great.

Our monitors only support HDMI and we wanted to use the Wii for Smash Bros. This was the only adapter I could find. No one sells it in stores. The adapter works great. No lag, good picture quality and very easy to set up. The standard shiping took a week to get here. Overall, very happy with this product. It will do until the Wii U Smash gets here.

My Nintendo Wii only supports AV (RCA-type) connectivity to the television. So when we upgraded our TV we could not re-connect the unit because there were no such ports any more! This ingenious device plugs into the standard port at the back of the Wii unit and allows one to run an HDMI cable to the TV. I am mightily impressed that this little device cheaply fixes this connectivity oversight/problem so conveniently. I don't really notice an improvement in the picture display or audio quality per se, but that is not why this was purchased AND I can confidently report there is certainly no degradation. In summary, if you wish to connect your Wii to a TV's HDMI port, then this product is exactly what you need; I am thoroughly happy with it.

NOTE TO PEOPLE WHO HAVEN'T SEEN IMPROVED PICTURE: You MUST change the display settings from on the Wii menu from 480i to 480p to see full results! ALSO! To optimize for 1080p, you have to push in the little button while the Wii is on and the device is showing active. The tiny button is inside that hole in the bottom left of the preview image of this product. I used a paperclip. SO: To get the BEST this product offers - you have to remember to change your wii from 480i to 480p, and also if your display is 1080, press the button on the hardware itself while it's plugged in and you will immediately see an improvement in picture quality.
